Yesterday was basketball heaven as Illinois was finally beaten by Ohio State, Kentucky lost to Florida, Kansas lost to Missouri. However, Wake Forest eked out a win over NC State and North Carolina beat Duke! The top ten will get shaken up nicely and the Tar Heels might end up number one. The Heels win wasn't pretty as they struggled with shooting much of the second half, but Sean May's huge game (26 points, 24 rebounds) lifted North Carolina over the Blue Devils at the Dean Dome. As for those who will say that the refs helped Carolina, Duke got some calls late, but missed their free throws. Plus, when Shavlik Randolph fouled out, that opened up the lane for May and forced Shelden Williams to play him straight up, not possible. A shot on the last possession by Marvin Williams sealed the win for the Heels and gave North Carolina the ACC regular season title outright for the first time since 1993!
