I'm so tired. I've been watching the Masters all day and feeling seriously nostalgic. I miss actually getting to go to the tournament. And it didn't help that I saw Larry on TV as the leaders were playing 18. Some of the course has changed so much that I barely recognize it. And after a second wave of extensive changes since 2001, it's not as desirable a tournament to watch as it's much harder to do well. I miss the days when eagling thirteen and fifteen was totally possible in the same round. It's still doable, but not as likely. However, the weather was as much to blame for the lousy play today as anything since green speeds were being miscalculated like no other. In addition to the third round beiing finished this morning due to a weather delay yesterday.

This lack of putting ability caused Chad Campbell and Tim Clark to lose their third round leads to Phil Mickelson, who only had a -4 at the end of that round. The final round brought many people close to the lead, but only Fred Couples ever tied Mickelson, at -5. However, that didn't last as Phil ended up at -7 with his second Masters victory. And while I was happy for him, I felt badly for Tiger Woods, who played poorly today, with three consecutive bogeys in the third round. However, he birdied four of the last six in the final round to make it respectable, but was still disgusted, even after making birdie on eighteen. This was one of the ugliest Masters I watched in a while. I hope there aren't anymore major changes to the course for a while, and hopefully better weather next year. Rain is nice, but better before the weekend.
